Zhenjiang New Area and Dantu, Danyang, Yangzhong and Jurong Economic Development Zones are all of the provincial level. Besides, Jingkou Economic Development Zone and Runzhou Economic Development Zone are of the district level. The 7 Economic Development Zones have developed up to 38 Square kilometers in which there are complete infrastructure conditions such as road, drainage, sewage, power supply, gas supply, communication, etc.. The zones have attracted large numbers of productive projects and become the most eye-catching place for investment.

Zhenjiang New Area is built along the Yangtze River. There is a deep-water bankline in the Area which is 16 km in length and the Area has built 11 berths of 10,000 tonnage. A special railway cuts through the district, connecting to Beijing-Shanghai Railway. The developed area has introduced many foreign projects, forming up the leading industries of paper-making, chemical industry, electronics, precise casting, etc. Many industrial parks have been built in the Area according to specific investment projects. They are International Chemical Zone, Electromechanical Industrial Park, Optoelectronics Industrial Park, Taiwan Businessmen’s Industrial Park, Private Economic Park, Trade & Commercial Center and State-level Export Processing Zone.
